New Program: ICAN Listen

ICAN Radio is thrilled to present an all-new program in collaboration with Music Workshop. ICAN Listen is a new youth-anchored music appreciation series, airing on the International Children’s Arts Network (ICAN), powered by All Classical Radio.
ICAN Listen premieres Thursday, March 26, 2026, at 5:00 PM PT at icanradio.org and through All Classical Radio’s free mobile app. New episodes will air on Thursdays at 5:00 PM PT on ICAN, with a special encore each Sunday at 12:00 PM PT.

The new series features teenage presenters from schools throughout the Portland metropolitan area, sharing their thoughts, feelings, and inspirations after listening to an impactful piece of music. Designed for classrooms and for families, ICAN Listen encourages meaningful conversations through authentic young voices and shared experiences that celebrate music’s power to connect us all.
A video edition of ICAN Listen will also be accessible to educators free of charge as a lesson plan on Music Workshop‘s website, musicworkshop.org.

The five-episode program was created and produced in collaboration with Music Workshop and recorded in All Classical’s Moonflower Studio, a space dedicated to ICAN production, youth programming, and mentorship. The teen hosts for ICAN Listen‘s first season are Lilianna Calderon, Diarra Mboup, Parker Mersereau, Momo Nealon, Elaina Stuppler, and Ethan Wittmayer. The episodes explore “Happy Song” by College Boy Jessie; “Sky World” written by Bear Fox and sung by Theo Swathe; “Bii Biyelgee” by The Hu; “Somewhere Over the Rainbow” by Israel Kamakawiwoʻole; and “Hound Dog” by Big Mama Thornton.

ICAN Listen will air on ICAN Radio Thursdays at 5:00 PM PT beginning March 26, 2026, with an encore broadcast Sundays at 12:00 PM PT. Teachers may access ICAN Listen videos via the Music Workshop Portal.
