Hansel and Gretel
Listen to a performance by All Classical Radio’s Artist in Residence, María García! María narrates and performs ‘Hansel and Gretel,’ a tale perfect for the Halloween season. Airing in English at 5 p.m. on Friday the 13th! and during ICAN’s Trick or Treat Special on Halloween. María also narrates and performs a special presentation in Spanish on November 1st at 5 p.m. during our Day of the Dead celebrations.
About María García
María began piano studies in her native Puerto Rico at the age of four. At the age of ten she made her debut with the Puerto Rico Symphony Orchestra.
As an active chamber musician and soloist, Ms. García has performed throughout the United States, the United Kingdom, Germany, Norway, Venezuela, Tunisia, Puerto Rico, and beyond. She’s a passionate teacher and musical coach she has served on the faculties of the Manhattan School of Music Pre-College Division, the Stony Brook Summer Chamber Music Festival, and more. María is also All Classical Radio’s 2022/23 Artist in Residence.
