ICAN Color! Operation Photobomb

ICAN’s Audio Book Tour continues with tonight’s storytime. Operation Photobomb is written by Tara Luebbe and Becky Cattie, illustrated and read by Matthew Rivera.

This book is published by Albert Whitman & Co: When Monkey finds a camera, Chameleon discovers that he loves to photobomb everyone! But Chameleon’s photobombing starts to drive the other animals bananas. Can they find a way to stop his wild antics?

Illustrator Matthew Rivera holds book Operation Photobomb; the cover features toucan, parrot, cotinga and chameleon in a photograph being held by the character monkey

Matthew says, “I’m an illustrator from Arizona where I grew up on a diet of Tom and Jerry cartoons, Brady Bunch reruns and Star Wars films. When I was ten, I won the program cover contest for my elementary school’s Christmas musical, “Santa and the Snowmobile.” I’ve loved art and illustration ever since.

I graduated from the University of Arizona with a Bachelor’s in Fine Arts and then moved to Los Angeles. I worked many years as an art director for agencies, large corporations and toy companies.

Now, I make art and write stories for kids!

Find me working at my desk with a large cup of coffee and with Mavis, my pet rabbit, snoring at my feet; while endless loops of ‘The Golden Girls’ plays in the background.”

ICAN’s Audio Book Tour airs every third Thursday at 5p with a rebroadcast on the following Sunday morning at 8 (all times in Pacific). Find all books we love here.
